Underwater Photography!

We had so much fun last week taking pictures in the pool! The kids adjusted well to the water cameras, and took really cool pictures. I love all the shadows and reflections that were captured!

Bubbles!

Last week we photographed bubbles -it was a bit challenging because we had a lot of wind that day. We had to be extra quick to capture the bubbles before they flew away. Everyone did an amazing job despite the tricky assignment!

Here are our cool bubble pics:

we also discovered that we could catch them on our wands, and then photograph them.

Thanks to Michelle for letting us blow tons of bubbles on her glass door so we could capture them sticking!

Here's the group:

California Poppies

Today we photographed our beautiful state flower, the California Poppy! Here are some fun facts we learned about California Poppies:

• The poppy is also known as: The Flame Flower
• Early explorers sighted “Hills of golden flowers”
• The poppy grows wild throughout California
• April 6 is California Poppy Day!

I am so impressed with my little students -they had so much fun running from yard to yard spotting poppies and photographing them. It was amazing to see how quickly they were able to identify the poppies, and differentiate them from other flowers.

Here are our wonderful images:
